I saw one of your A3’s at the Northleach steam fair, and have seen others, ( or maybe the same one), at other fairs .In I think 1970, I was a planning engineer at BSA, Small Heath, getting the A3 into production. It’s in-house code was P51 or P31 – I forget. We were always trying to save money in production because it was costing more than the sales people reckoned it could sell for.
At the time I was riding an old, ( old in 1970 ! ), A10 .
